One – Statement Sleeves
The 80’s puff sleeve reinvented is in full force. We are having major sleeve moments from many designers this season including detachable billow sleeves, exaggerated poufs, and peekaboo shoulder splits. This trend is more than just the off-the-shoulder style, although we have seen a resurgence of that as well. Statement sleeves may have been our favorite trend from this season.
Two – Bridal Pants
Sophisticated and sexy, we are loving the number of bridal pants or jumpsuits we are seeing this season and hoping this trend will catch on to become an essential part of the bridal wardrobe. These sleek dress-alternatives are comfortable, modern and totally bad-ass ranging from tailored tuxedos to sexy romantic jumpsuits.
Three – Tiered Skirts
Bridal designers have been putting their wedding touch on the runway style of the tiered ruffle skirt mixed with a prairie vibe. These flouncing skirts are all the rage. The big takeaway: wedding glamour isn’t exclusively tied to beading and tulle.
Four – Square Necklines
This 90-degree angle between the strap and the bodice is taking hold in a big way and we are totally here for this trend! This detail can give way to a modern bride looking for anything but the sweetheart neckline that dominates the bridal world. The final effect is beyond elegant.
Five – A-line Revival
For a minute there, all brides wanted to see was sheath silhouettes and very fitted styles, but A-line wedding dresses are starting to come back into the limelight and we couldn’t be happier! A soft A-Line shapes are beyond romantic and classic and we can’t wait to see more of this.
Six – Overskirts
This bridal trend can truly give you the best of both worlds with two looks in one. You can get that ultimate bridal moment for your ceremony with the dreamy ballgown tulle overskirt and when you’re ready to party, just shed the layers and you’re good to go!
Seven – Exposed Corset
Corst inspired designs have been popping up throughout collections for Fall 2020 as well. You have illusion panels with exposed boning and demure bustier type designs. We are totally here for this trend.
Eight – Halter Neckline
The Megan Markle effect is still in full force as we have seen the most simple and minimal dresses this season than ever before. Fall 2020 designers are taking notes from her high neck reception gown and off-setting the plunging v-neckline trend with a halter type situation. This neckline is super flattering and fresh and can be mixed with a range of skirt silhouettes from ballgown to silk slip dresses.
